Suitable Materials

To create the trays for my worm farm I am looking towards plastic injection molding. This will make the trays cheap to make and also have a decent amount of detail. The plastic that the trays will be made out of will have to be food safe material as both the worms and grown food will come in contact with them.

Either the Polyethylene Terephthalate plastic or the High density polyethylene would be fine to make the trays out of so long as the wall thickness is thick enough to hold the weight of the tray.

The drip tray that runs into the worm tea collection can also be made out of the same material. This means that the worm tea will not harm the plants they are used on
